Between the resort at one end and Fantasy Island at the other, Ingoldmells carries one of the densest concentrations of caravan parks, chalets and holiday bungalows on the east coast. The buildings behind the parks
Away from the caravan parks, Ingoldmells and neighbouring Addlethorpe have a core of bungalows and small brick houses on low-lying former marsh, much of it only a few metres above sea level. The water table sits close beneath, so subfloor voids run humid and ground-level brickwork stays charged with moisture.
